About Yiming Su
Yiming Su earned Big Air bronze in his rookie appearance at X Games Aspen 2023 with a frontside 1800 and a first-in-competition quadruple cork 1980 in his first event after taking gold in big air and silver in slopestyle at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. The Chinese rider started snowboarding with his parents at age 4 but didn’t compete internationally until 2018-2019; forgettable performances at junior level events including the FIS Junior World Championships lit a fire in him. He spent the pandemic training over an airbag in China, then caught the snowboard world by surprise with a win at the 2021-2022 World Cup season opener to set the tone for his stunning performance at the Beijing Olympics. Next goal? X Games gold.
