Iceland’s Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir makes her X Games debut in Women’s Snowboard Knuckle Huck at X Games Aspen 2025, following star turns in the Burton Snowboard team videos “Blooom” (2023) and “Hot Coco” (2022) and a Slush Magazine cover in December 2023. Any podium position in Aspen would make her the first woman from Iceland to earn an X Games medal. Halldor Helgason owns 1 gold (XG Aspen 2010 Men’s SBD Big Air), 1 silver (XG Aspen 2023 Men’s SBD Knuckle Huck). Best known as a street rider, she’s one of the most creative riders in snowboarding and has been a leader in organizing events for Scandinavian riders, including the Scandinavian Nations Urban Show (SNUS) in 2024.
