As the debut event of the MoonPay X Games League (XGL), Sacramento will host a full-scale X-Fest festival village, fusing action sports, music, and culture into a single immersive experience. X Games is uniquely positioned as the only professional sports league in the world with a truly co-equal music identity, where global music headliners like Kaskade, Mustard and Subtronics are not just part of the lineup, but central to the event’s DNA. Their addition reinforces X Games’ identity beyond action sports competition into a cultural platform delivering a festival-caliber experience that sits at the intersection of sport and music.

“Music has always been a core part of X Games culture, and announcing Kaskade, Mustard, and Subtronics as our Sacramento headliners is a huge moment for this event,” said Jeremy Bloom, CEO of X Games. “They bring incredible energy and global appeal that matches the intensity of our athletes and the scale of what we’re building with the MoonPay X Games League.”
A legend of electronic music, Kaskade is one of the most influential DJs and producers in the world, known for his chart-topping hits, sold-out arena shows, and iconic festival performances, including his return to Coachella earlier this month. With eight Grammy nominations and a career spanning more than two decades, he has helped define modern dance music culture. He previously headlined X Games Ventura 2024 and has also performed at the Super Bowl, further cementing his status as a global live music powerhouse.
“I’ve been coming to X Games for years and it’s always felt like home,” Kaskade said. “I grew up on a skateboard and still get out there occasionally. I always have fun but I spend more time hitting the pavement than landing stuff. That’s usually when I remember why I went into music. Headlining Sacramento is the best seat in the house – this is my podium finish. Let’s get it, X Games!”
Mustard is a five-time Grammy Award-winning producer, DJ, and artist, and one of the defining architects of modern West Coast hip-hop. The mastermind behind Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” — the Grammy-winning Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and centerpiece of Lamar’s 2025 Super Bowl Halftime performance — and “TV Off,” the Billboard chart-topping, Grammy-winning Best Rap Song of 2026, Mustard’s production credits span generation-defining hits for Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Travis Scott, Migos, and Ty Dolla $ign, alongside his own chart-topping catalog as an artist. Most recently, he served as executive producer of Ella Mai’s 2026 album Do You Still Love Me?. A headliner across Coachella, Rolling Loud, and the world’s biggest festival stages, with billions of streams across his catalog, Mustard continues to shape the sound and culture of a generation. His X Games Sacramento set marks his first appearance at the event.

“We all grew up watching the X Games and trying to do the tricks as kids,” Mustard said. “Never thought I’d be able to see it live and actually be part of the show. Looking forward to being there.”
Electronic music powerhouse Subtronics continues a landmark year with his debut performance at the X Games, a full-circle moment for the Philadelphia-born artist who grew up immersed in skate culture. Fresh off his debut at Coachella, where he drew record-breaking crowds across both weekends, Subtronics is riding an undeniable wave of momentum. Known for his genre-defying production and high-impact live shows, including six sold-out nights at The Shrine in Los Angeles and headlining iconic venues like the Las Vegas Sphere, he has become a mainstay across the world’s biggest festival stages. With viral releases expanding far beyond the electronic space and a growing cultural footprint spanning fashion, visuals, and large-scale production, Subtronics X Games debut marks yet another defining moment in a career that continues to push him into new territory.

“When I was nine, my dad took me to the X Games at City Hall in Philadelphia, and it was the best day of my life,” Subtronics said. “I’ve always been a huge fan of skateboarding, so getting to be part of this now feels surreal. Honestly, it might be one of the coolest moments of my career so far. I can’t fully put into words how excited I am!”
