After winning the Next X Am Street contest onsite at XG Minneapolis 2019, Daiki Ikeda took silver in his rookie appearance, in front of a home crowd at XG Chiba 2022. Sharing the podium with gold medalist Yuto Horigome and bronze medalist Sora Shirai made for the first men’s Japanese podium sweep (one day after Japanese women swept the Women’s Park discipline, and following a Japanese sweep in Women’s Snowboard Big Air at XG Aspen 2020. He’s been successful at other events, too, including a win at the 2025 Japan Open, a 2nd place finish at Street League Tokyo in 2023, and a win at Tampa Am in 2022.
