About Hiroto Ogiwara

Hiroto Ogiwara makes his X Games debut in both Big Air and Slopestyle at X Games Aspen 2025. The Japanese rider made history in 2022 as the first snowboarder to land a 2160 (and, at the same time, the first to land a quintuple cork). He made some more history in 2024, as the first to land a switch backside 1980. With two FIS World Cup big air wins already under his belt (at Chur, Switerland in Oct. 2023, and at Beijing, China in Dec. 2024) he’s a legit podium challenger in Aspen. We’ve seen him coming: His first video went viral when he was 9 years old, he’s been a strong competitor since age 12, and he won the World Rookie Tour at age 16. He’s also the 2021 & 2022 Japanese national champion in big air, and the 2022 national champion in slopestyle.
