About Hiroto Ogiwara
Hiroto Ogiwara made history in his rookie appearance at X Games Aspen 2025 with a world-first 2340 (six and a half rotations) to shut down the Big Air Final from Run 1, riding off with gold and straight into the Guinness World Records books. And it wasn’t the first time the Japanese rider made history: In 2022 he was the first snowboarder to land a 2160 (and, at the same time, the first to land a quintuple cork). In 2024, he was the first to land a switch backside 1980. We’ve seen him coming: His first video went viral when he was 9 years old, he’s been a strong competitor since age 12, and he won the World Rookie Tour at age 16. He’s also the 2021 & 2022 Japanese national champion in big air, and the 2022 national champion in slopestyle.
