Tickets for the first XGL Winter Draft, September 16 in Los Angeles, are now on sale

BOULDER, Colo. (August 13, 2026) — X Games today announced the four general managers who will build the first Winter Club rosters in MoonPay X Games League (XGL) history, while confirming X Games Club Whistler (XC Whistler) as the fourth and final founding XGL Winter Club ahead of the inaugural season beginning in January 2027.

Olympic champion Jonny Moseley will lead XC Golden State; action sports executive Dave Sypniewski will lead XC New York, alongside Special Advisor and winter sports pioneer Barrett Christy Cummins; athlete marketing leader Sharalee “Haze” Hazen will lead XC Park City; and Canadian action sports media executive Ryan Stutt will lead XC Whistler.

The four GMs will oversee roster construction, athlete strategy and club operations, beginning with the XGL Winter Draft on September 16 in Los Angeles, where each will select a 10-athlete roster from among the world’s best skiers and snowboarders.

The appointments complete the leadership of XGL’s four founding Winter Clubs and mark the next step in the MoonPay X Games League’s expansion into skiing and snowboarding following its inaugural Summer Season, which reached 18.3 million U.S. television viewers across ABC and ESPN, up 78.5 percent compared with 2025. XC New York captured the first XGL championship in New Orleans, defeating XC Tokyo by just 10 points on the final run of the season and winning with 2,640 points to Tokyo’s 2,630.

“For the first time in X Games history, someone has to build a championship roster, not just produce a championship run,” said Jeremy Bloom, CEO of X Games. “That makes the GM role incredibly important. Jonny, Dave, Haze and Ryan each bring deep credibility with athletes, real roots in these sports and a different point of view on how to build a winning club. They now get to make the first roster decisions in X Games history that will impact an entire winter season.”

JONNY MOSELEY – XC GOLDEN STATE

Jonny Moseley is an Olympic gold medalist, World Cup champion and one of the most influential skiers of his generation. His groundbreaking performance at the 1998 Nagano Olympics helped spark the modern freeskiing movement, and he became the first skier to medal at both the Olympics and X Games. Following his competitive career, Moseley became one of skiing’s most recognizable voices as a television host and commentator while working with leading brands and organizations across the industry.

As General Manager of XC Golden State, Moseley brings elite competition experience, business leadership and deep roots in Northern California and Lake Tahoe, where his skiing career began.

“Growing up in Northern California, I saw firsthand how the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe helped shape skiing and snowboarding,” said Moseley. “It’s where I learned to ski, where I competed, and where my passion for the sport began. To come back and lead XC Golden State is incredibly meaningful. We have an opportunity to create something that reflects the innovation, creativity and competitive spirit of this region while chasing the first X Games League Winter Championship.”

DAVE SYPNIEWSKI – XC NEW YORK

Dave Sypniewski has spent his career growing the business of snowboarding by connecting athletes, brands and fans through marketing, partnerships and events. Through roles and work with organizations including Thrasher, Burton and Boost Mobile, he has helped develop athlete opportunities, secure partnerships and strengthen the commercial foundation of the sport.

As General Manager of XC New York, Sypniewski will lead roster construction, athlete strategy and club development as New York looks to follow its Summer Club’s championship season.

Sypniewski will be joined by Special Advisor Barrett Christy Cummins, an 11-time X Games medalist, U.S. Olympian and U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame inductee.

“The X Games League creates a whole new way to think about team building in action sports,” said Sypniewski. “Success won’t come from one superstar. It’ll come from putting together a club with the right mix of talent, versatility and competitive mindset. I’m excited to build a team that can contend from the draft through the final event of the season and hopefully continue XC New York’s championship success.”

SHARALEE “HAZE” HAZEN – XC PARK CITY

Sharalee “Haze” Hazen is an athlete marketing leader and experiential strategist known for building athlete-first initiatives and culturally relevant sports platforms. Most recently, she served as General Manager of XC Los Angeles during the XGL’s inaugural Summer Season and co-created The Uninvited Invitational, helping develop new opportunities, events and platforms for athletes.

Hazen’s experience across athlete advocacy, brand strategy and league operations positions her to lead XC Park City as the club establishes its competitive identity in the inaugural Winter Season.

“Action sports have always been about pushing boundaries, building community and creating opportunities for athletes to thrive,” said Hazen. “The X Games League takes that to another level by giving athletes, fans and clubs a shared journey throughout the season. Our goal is to create an environment where athletes feel supported, authentic stories emerge naturally and XC Park City becomes a team people connect with on and off the snow.”

RYAN STUTT – XC WHISTLER

Ryan Stutt is a creative leader and entrepreneur who has spent more than two decades elevating athletes and growing Canadian action sports. As founder of Forecast Ski and King Snow, leading Canadian ski and snowboard media outlets, he has helped document and shape the culture of Canadian winter sports. Most recently, Stutt produced and co-directed the award-winning documentary “Our Kind of Chaos,” chronicling the influential Whistler-based snowboard film series “Whiskey” and its impact on modern snowboarding.

As General Manager of newly confirmed XC Whistler, Stutt will guide the club’s competitive and cultural strategy while building a roster designed to reflect Whistler’s deep connection to skiing and snowboarding.

“Whistler represents the pinnacle of ski and snowboard culture,” said Stutt. “The expectation here is excellence, and that’s exactly how we’ll approach the X Games League. We’re committed to creating a culture that attracts elite athletes, embraces progression and competes for championships while honoring the legacy that makes Whistler special.”
