Courage Adams, competing in his eighth X Games at Sacramento 2026, is widely regarded as one of BMX Street’s most stylish and technical riders. Born in Benin City, Nigeria, and raised in Spain, he became the first X Games athlete from an African country outside of South Africa. Adams won silver at X Games Japan 2023 while representing Nigeria after entering the contest as an alternate. He later earned bronze at XG Chiba 2024 and gold at Osaka 2025 while representing Spain. Remarkably, all three of his X Games medals have come in Japan. Adams remains closely connected to his Nigerian roots and recently filmed a Red Bull project there titled Encouraged. Fluent in English and Spanish, he welcomed daughter Daphne in late 2024.
