Higashino

Taka Higashino is a Moto X legend and a fan favorite in Japan. Born and raised in Osaka, he’s thrilled to return home for X Games Osaka 2025–especially since it will be the first time his parents, sister and nephew get to see him compete in person at X Games. A longtime staple of Moto X Freestyle, Taka is known for his explosive runs, high energy and crowd-pleasing tricks like the rock solid backflip. Last year, at XG Chiba 2024 he earned bronze in Best Trick. Taka became the first Japanese rider to compete in XG Moto X (’07); first Japanese Moto X competitor to win gold at X Games (2012 Freestyle), which he twice repeated in 2013 for 3 consecutive golds to become the ONLY Japanese athlete to three-peat an XG discipline. His presence in the space has helped grow the sport in his home country. Taka now lives and trains in California.
