X Games Announces Sale of Los Angeles and Park City Clubs as Momentum Builds Ahead of MoonPay X Games League Launch
BOULDER, Colo. (June 11, 2026) — X Games today announced the sale of XC Los Angeles and XC Park City to accomplished private equity investor Allen Thorpe through his firm, Pipedream Capital.
The transaction marks another milestone for the MoonPay X Games League (XGL), the world’s first team-based action sports league, as it prepares for its inaugural Summer Season. Moelis & Co LLC served as the exclusive financial advisor to X Games.
“The investment in two X Games Clubs is a powerful validation of the vision we have for the future of action sports,” said Jeremy Bloom, CEO of X Games. “We’re creating permanent teams, season-long storylines, stronger opportunities for athletes, and deeper connections with fans. Allen immediately understood that opportunity, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the X Games family.”
“X Games has an incredible brand at the intersection of sport, culture, entertainment, and youth engagement,” said Thorpe. “The MoonPay X Games League creates an entirely new category of sports ownership. As a native Californian and 20-year Park City resident, I’m especially excited to build championship organizations in both Los Angeles and Park City.”
Los Angeles is one of the most influential action sports markets in the world, future host of the 2028 Summer Olympics, and serves as home to XC Los Angeles, one of the league’s flagship Summer Clubs. Led by General Manager Sharalee “Haze” Hazen, the Club features a diverse 10-person roster of star international athletes, including Olympic medalist Tom Schaar and 11-year-old Australian phenom, Mia Kretzer.
Park City, a globally recognized ski and snowboard destination and future host region for the 2034 Winter Olympics, will anchor the XC Park City Winter Club beginning with the XGL Winter Season in 2027.
The announcement comes as X Games continues to build momentum behind the XGL. The league introduces permanent Clubs, athlete contracts, team ownership, season-long competition, and new opportunities for fan engagement across Summer and Winter action sports. The inaugural XGL Summer Season begins June 26 in Sacramento before traveling to Chiba, Japan, and concluding with the Championship in New Orleans in July. Additional Club ownership announcements are expected in the coming months.
