World-Class Action Sports Athlete Roster Set for MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026
Nearly 100 athletes. Multi-medal pursuits. Historic record chases. Generational rivalries. The new era of competition begins with the debut of MoonPay X Games League.
X Games today announced a powerhouse roster of nearly 100 invited athletes who will descend on Cal Expo for MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026, June 26-28 – the debut summer event of the MoonPay X Games League (XGL).
Across skateboarding, BMX and Moto X, the event will deliver three days of elite competition and new team rivalries, with multiple records in reach and a field that blends all-time greats with action sport’s fastest-rising stars.
But Sacramento isn’t just hosting a competition — it’s delivering a full-scale festival experience, where world-class action sports athletes collide with live music and culture. Fans can expect high-energy performances from top headliners Kaskade, Mustard and Subtronics, transforming the weekend into one of the most dynamic stops on the summer event calendar.
“MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026 marks a defining moment for us as we launch the X Games League and reimagine what action sports can be,” commented Jeremy Bloom, X Games CEO. “This isn’t just about competition — it’s about bringing together nearly 100 of the world’s best athletes, creating opportunities for multi-medal performances, and building a season-long format that elevates the stakes for both athletes and fans. Sacramento is the starting point for a new era, where progression, storytelling and team rivalries all come together on a global stage.”
top athletes to watch
Several of the most decorated athletes in X Games history arrive in Sacramento with milestone moments within reach. At the same time, a new generation of global stars are already reshaping record books.
- Nyjah Huston (Skateboard), USA
The most decorated Skateboard Street athlete and 15-time gold medalist and 26 total medals, competing across multiple disciplines, with a chance to climb even higher on the all-time leaderboard. - Garrett Reynolds (BMX), USA
King of BMX Street and the most decorated BMX athlete in X Games history, leading the field with 16 gold medals and 24 total medals — and still adding to his legacy. - Arisa Trew (Skateboard), Australia
At just 16, Trew already owns eight gold medals — the most ever by a woman in summer X Games — and could challenge the all-time record in Sacramento. - Chloe Covell (Skateboard), Australia
Another 16-year-old phenom, medaling in eight of nine appearances and winning gold in her last five — one of the hottest streaks in X Games – not to mention the number one draft pick at the inaugural MoonPay X Games Summer Draft. - Gui Khury (Skateboard), Brazil
An X Games competitor since age 10, Khuri is a spotlight teen prodigy with nine gold medals, the most ever by a teenager, and 15 total medals overall, continuing to push progression in vert skateboarding. - Ryan Williams (BMX), Australia
One of the most versatile riders in the world, with four golds in his last eight appearances and 11 overall, a strong contender across multiple BMX events. - Logan Martin (BMX), Australia + Daniel Sandoval (BMX), USA
Both set to compete in four disciplines, giving them a historic shot at four gold medals in a single X Games — a feat never accomplished. - Vicki Golden (Moto X), USA – A trailblazer in motocross and 3-time X Games gold medalist — the first woman to compete in Moto X, the first to medal in Best Whip against men, and the only woman competing in Moto X in Sacramento.
historic storylines
- Multi-medal potential: Dozens of athletes competing in multiple events, opening the door for podium sweeps across disciplines
- Rare gold sweep chase: Winning three golds in a single X Games has only happened three times ever — not in nearly 20 years, since Travis Pastrana at X Games Los Angeles 2006
- Next-gen takeover: Teenage stars are already rewriting record books, including the youngest X Games competitor and X Games skateboard gold medalist Mia Kretzer, 11 years old
- XGL debut: The first stop in a new team-based era, with Clubs from Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo and Tokyo battling for points toward the summer championship
“Every X Games pushes action sports to another level, but this one feels different,” said Nyjah Huston. “With the league format and so many athletes competing in multiple events, the pressure is higher and the opportunities are bigger, so I’m coming in focused on putting down my best runs and going for gold. The level right now is insane — you have to bring your absolute best if you want to be on that podium.”
