At age 9 years, 8 months when she dropped in for Women’s Skateboard Vert at X Games Ventura 2024, Australia’s Mia Kretzer became the youngest athlete ever to compete at X Games . By the time she rode away from her 720 in Vert Best Trick, she was also the youngest ever X Games medalist and gold medalist! She says she was inspired to learn the 720 after seeing her fellow Australian Arisa Trew land it in her gold medal Vert run at X Games California 2023, and promptly went out and got to work.
